we recently completed a new pavers patio installation in a home in Columbus, Ohio. The project took place on the east side, not far from Franklin Park Conservatory and just minutes from Bexley and East Broad Street. The homeowner wanted a clean and durable outdoor space for relaxing and grilling, with steps coming down from the rear doors and a large level area for seating and gatherings.
we began by clearing and grading the backyard (see the attached photos) so water would move away from the house. A compacted gravel base was installed to support the patio and help prevent settling or shifting over time, which is very important. After that, we set the pavers in a tight pattern with proper edge restraints. We also built matching seating walls and a grill surround to create a complete outdoor living area. The paver color blend was chosen to match the home’s siding and natural setting, so the patio looks like it always was there.
