We recently completed a front entrance and stairs replacement project in Grove City, over in the Hoover Road area near Park Street. This was a job that really needed to be done – the old stairs were falling apart and becoming a safety hazard for the homeowners.
When we first got to the property, you could see the concrete steps were in rough shape. Years of weather exposure had taken its toll. The steps were cracked, crumbling at the edges, and covered in moss and stains. The whole entrance just looked worn out and unstable. Our crew started by carefully removing all the old concrete. We had to be extra careful around the foundation and make sure we did not damage anything on the property. Once everything was cleared out, we prepped the base and got it ready for the new concrete pour.

For this project, we built new forms to create clean, even steps that would lead up to the front door. We made sure each step was the right height and depth so they would be comfortable and safe to use. The grade and slope were important too – we wanted to make sure water would drain away properly and not pool up anywhere.
After the forms were set, we poured fresh concrete and our team worked to create a smooth, brushed finish on each step. This type of finish looks professional and also provides good traction so people would not slip. We paid close attention to the edges and corners to make sure everything was neat and uniform.
The end result was really impressive. You can see in the after photos how much better the entrance looks now. The new stairs are solid, level, and safe. They also really improved the look of the whole front of the house. The homeowners were really happy with how it turned out.
